Why We Use CAFLON

The gold standard in safe, gentle, and hygienic ear piercing.

No Traditional Guns or Needles

The CAFLON system uses a smooth, controlled push mechanism. It is not a spring-loaded “gun” that snaps forcefully, and there are no intimidating needles.

100% Sterile & Single-Use

Every earring is pre-sterilized and sealed in a single-use cartridge. The instrument never touches the ear, guaranteeing professional hygiene standards.

Designed for Babies & Children

Because the process is quiet, quick, and uses hypoallergenic studs, it is perfectly suited for infants (3+ months) and young children.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does CAFLON ear piercing hurt?

Every child is different, but the CAFLON system is designed to make the experience as gentle and quick as possible. The smooth, controlled motion minimizes discomfort compared to traditional piercing methods.

What age can babies get their ears pierced?

From 3 months old, provided the baby has received their first DTaP vaccination. There is no maximum age limit, but minors under 18 require a parent or guardian present to sign a consent form.

How long does healing take / when can jewellery be changed?

Healing times vary, but typically ears can be re-pierced or the jewellery downsized after 6 weeks (4 weeks for nose piercings). Full aftercare is explained verbally in-salon, strictly following CAFLON’s official guidance.

What earrings are used?

We use official CAFLON studs, which are hypoallergenic and pre-sterilized. They are specially designed for sensitive skin and new piercings.

How do I clean my baby’s new piercing?

You should clean the piercing area twice a day using Caflon Natural Solution applied directly to the front and back of the ear. While cleaning, gently rotate the studs 180° (a half turn) to help the solution penetrate. Always wash your hands before touching the ear.

Can my baby go swimming after getting pierced?

It is recommended to avoid swimming in pools, lakes, or hot tubs during the initial 6-week healing period to prevent exposure to bacteria and reduce the risk of infection.
