Do I need to book an appointment?

No appointment is needed! Sunshine Beautician operates on a walk-in basis. Simply visit us in-store Monday to Saturday between 12:00 PM and 5:30 PM at Unit 22A Indoor Market, 50 Edgbaston Street, Birmingham. All customers are welcomed on a first-come, first-served walk-in basis.

Do you accept card payments?

Yes! Card payments and cash are both accepted for all our beauty, piercing, and waxing services.

How much does ear and nose piercing cost?

All our piercing prices clearly INCLUDE the piercing stud.
• Baby Ear Piercing: Offered with four pricing options: £25, £30, £35, and £40. £25 is the starting price, not the only choice. All options include sterile piercing studs and complimentary CAFLON aftercare solution.
• General Ear Piercing: £10 for one ear or £15 for both ears (piercing stud included; CAFLON aftercare solution is £3).
• Nose Piercing: £15 for our standard sterile stud or £18 for our titanium stud (piercing stud included).

Do you sell jewellery and studs separately?

Yes! In addition to our piercing services, we sell genuine STUDEX studs separately and offer a wide selection of jewellery including sterling silver, 9ct gold, and costume jewellery in a variety of styles and designs.

What jewellery options are available for ear piercing?

We offer a choice of ear-piercing studs, including STUDEX birthstone designs and STUDEX Regular Titanium. Other options are available too. Please ask us about the available jewellery and prices before your piercing. For babies, we use dedicated 9ct solid gold ball studs.

What if I or my child have allergies or metal sensitivities?

Please tell us before your piercing if you have any known allergies, metal sensitivities or previous reactions to jewellery or piercing products. If you are arranging a piercing for a baby or child, please tell us about any known allergies or sensitivities they have. We can discuss the available options with you before proceeding.

What age can babies have their ears pierced?

We offer baby ear piercing from 3 months old, provided your baby has received their first DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis) vaccination, and the piercing is considered suitable. A parent or legal guardian must be present and provide consent.

What equipment and qualifications do you have?

The owner holds a CAFLON Professional Ear Piercing Diploma awarded in 2008 and brings over 35 years of beauty experience. Ear piercings are performed using trusted STUDEX ear-piercing instruments with sterile, single-use studs and pre-piercing CAFLON antiseptic cleansing wipes.

How should I care for a new ear piercing?

Clean the piercing twice daily front and back using CAFLON Natural Solution (included complimentary with £25 baby piercings, or £3 for general piercings). Always wash your hands first, apply the solution, and gently turn the studs a quarter turn (90 degrees) left and right 2–3 times. Keep ears dry between cleanings and retain studs for at least 6 weeks continuously.

Where can I read your Terms & Conditions and Customer Notice?

Customers are encouraged to read our full Terms & Conditions and in-salon Customer Notice before proceeding with a service. Please ask us if you need clarification before your service begins. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

What is your refund and complaints policy?

Please raise any concerns about your treatment or piercing with management before leaving the premises so we have an opportunity to discuss and address any immediate issues. We do not normally offer refunds for completed services simply because a customer has changed their mind, nor for completed piercing services or fitted jewellery for hygiene reasons. Your statutory legal rights regarding faulty goods or services remain unaffected.
