Nose Piercing Aftercare Advice
Key recommendations to help your new nostril piercing heal smoothly.
- Always wash hands: Thoroughly clean hands before touching the piercing or jewellery.
- Gentle cleansing: Clean the outside of the nostril twice daily using a sterile saline solution or recommended antiseptic aftercare solution on a clean cotton bud.
- Do not twist or pick: Avoid twisting, turning, or picking at scabs during the initial healing period.
- Keep cosmetics away: Keep facial makeup, cleansers, moisturizers, and scrubs away from the immediate piercing site.
- Leave initial jewellery in: Keep the original stud in place continuously throughout the healing phase (typically 8–12 weeks) before considering jewellery changes.
